Your bunny will be sent home with a small baggie of food and hay. Information on what they currently eat is listed below. These bunnies are only used to drinking water out of a bowl, if you plan to switch to a bottle, please ensure their water is going down since they are not used to finding their water that way.
Our bunnies are sent home with their current pellets and hay. They are eating Producers Pride which can be found at Tractor Supply & Co. We purchase in 50lb feed bags and mix in a very small amount of plain oats for a treat.
You can buy flake bedding in large quantities for your bunnies to save money. We get ours from Tractor Supply & Co. You can also begin to litter box train them, if this is your goal, we suggest a horse pellet litter also found at Tractor Supply & Co.
We like to add plain oats to our bunnies food as a healthy treat. These babies can also slowly start eating veggies. Please check on what veggies you can and cannot feed to a rabbit before giving them any. Right now we feed our adult buns carrots, bananas, broccoli, celery, spinach, and romaine lettuce.
Bunnies always need a large amount of hay available to them. This is going to be their main source of food making up about 75%. They can eat orchard grass or timothy hay.
Once your bunny is picked up/ taken home, Post Oak Rabbitry and sellers are no longer responsible to anything that may occur to the new pet. The new owner is accepting the rabbit as is, however we are always here to answer any questions you may have.
If at any time you can no longer care for your pet. Post Oak Rabbitry can and will re-purchase the bunny for 20% of the original cost paid baring the bunny is in good health.
